Hi, we’re Amelia and Ben 👋 two Londoners who decided to leave home and see where the road would take us.

What started as a trip through the US turned into a year of travelling through the US, Central and South America, before eventually making our way to Australia.

Along the way, we’ve learnt a lot about travelling long-term, from what you actually need to pack (and what you really don’t), to planning routes, navigating travel days and figuring out how to make the most of your time and money.

This website is where we’re sharing the things we’ve learnt along the way: the places we loved, the itineraries we’d recommend, the lessons we learnt the hard way and the travel essentials that genuinely earned their place in our backpacks.

We’re not professional travel experts,  just two people who have spent a lot of time on the road and want to share what we’ve learnt with other people planning their own adventures.

Whether you’re planning a weekend away, a long-term adventure or your first big trip, we hope our guides and recommendations help you travel a little more confidently and avoid a few of the mistakes we made along the way.
