About Us

We're Amelia and Ben. In 2023 we left our jobs in London, packed two backpacks, and spent a year travelling through the US, Central America, and South America before landing in Australia, where we now live.

What started as a trip through the US turned into a year of travelling through the US, Central and South America, before eventually making our way to Australia and New Zealand.

Along the way, we’ve learnt a lot about travelling long-term, from what you actually need to pack (and what you really don’t), to planning routes, navigating travel days and figuring out how to make the most of your time and money.

This website is where we’re sharing the things we’ve learnt along the way: the places we loved, the itineraries we’d recommend, the lessons we learnt the hard way and the travel essentials that genuinely earned their place in our backpacks.

We’re not professional travel experts,  just two people who have spent a lot of time on the road and want to share what we’ve learnt with other people planning their own adventures.
